Armenian Highlights Starting from

 Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan – transfer to the selected hotel - Yerevan City tour,

Arrival in Yerevan – transfer to the selected hotel.

Yerevan sightseeing including City center, Republic square, State University, City panorama, Cascade, Gafesjian Center for the Arts in Cascade, Parliament, President’s Palace, Opera, Matenadaran(depository for ancient manuscripts). Drive to Sports & Concert Complex, visit to the Genocide Memorial, dedicated to the Victims of 1915 and the Genocide Museum. O/N in Yerevan

 

Day 2 : Sevan – Dilijan - Tsakhkadzor

 

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Sevan, one of the greatest high mountainous freshwater lakes of Eurasia, Climb on peninsula from where the fascinating view on the Lake is open. Visit Sevanavank monastery. Drive to Tsakhkadzor town the magical place of forested mountains (means “gorge of flowers”), short walking tour around the small town then going up to the mountain peaks by rope way, where you will catch an unforgettable gorgeous panoramic view of this part of the world. VisitKecharis monastery. Drive back to Yerevan.   

Day 3: Garni – Geghard - shopping in Dalma Mall

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the only remaining pagan temple in Armenia devoted to the God of Sun – Myrth, in Garni, built in 77 AD by King Trdat (Arshakid Dynasty). The temple is Greco-Roman style with characteristic pillars. It stands proudly on a rocky ridge with a deep canyon presenting a beautiful view. The temple was a summer residence for Arshakid dynasty. Visit to the ruins of Royal Palace and Royal bath-house nearby. Canyon of Garni -magnificent and outstanding scene which creates the image of falling crags. It obtained the name "Symphony of Stones" due to its view. The fantastic landscape of Garni canyon shakes the human imagination. Drive to the unique caved temple St. Geghard (12th -13th cc.), the name of which means “holy spear” in the honor of the long-preserved spear, the same spear that pierced the body of crucified Christ. Geghard Monastery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list (2000). Drive back to Yerevan. Visit to Dalma Mall for shopping.

Optional: village family hosted lunch with the lavash baking. O/N in Yerevan

 

Day 4: Free day for Vernisage shopping (World’s longest Flee Market)

Breakfast at hotel. Day free to explore Yerevan’s flee market – Vernisage. It is said to be world’s longest flee market where the country’s craftmen flock to sell their artifacts, produces to the foreigners and locals. A lot of bargain makes everyone happy. Open during weekends only

 

Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 5: Transfer to the airport

Breakfast at hotel. Check out and transfer to airport. Depart Yerevan.
